You can graduate from high school by taking classes online - whenever and where it's convenient for you - through Career Online High School. And, you may be able to apply credits from high school courses you've already completed.

Why Carrer Online High School?

Career Online High School gives you the flexibility you need to balance work and school. The program is free to eligible employees. You can:

  1. Earn a diploma at your own pace.

  2. Gain real-world career skills with adult-focused class content.

  3. Get support from academic coaches to help you along the way.

How long will it take to graduate?

The average time to complete is only 12 to 14 months. But you have 18 months to complete the program, so you set the pace that works best for you.

Who's eligible?

Full-time restaurant manager or staff of participating Franchise Owner/Operator

You are eligible if:

  • You are currently employed by a participating Franchise Owner/Operator.

  • You work a minimum of 30 hours per week for that Franchise Owner/Operator.

  • You are in good standing as determined by the Franchise Owner/Operator.

Restaurant crew, part-time manager or part-time office staff of participating Franchise Owner/Operator

You are eligible if:

  • You are currently employed by a participating Franchise Owner/Operator.

  • You are employed by the same Franchise Owner/Operator at least 90 cumulative days as of the time of the Tuition Assistance Request application completion.

  • You work an average of 15 hours per week for that Franchise Owner/Operator.

  • You are in good standing as determined by the Franchise Owner/Operator.

What should I know about Career Online
High School?

Before you get started, keep in mind:

  • Career Online High School is free for all eligible employees. You will have to submit a request for Tuition Assistance online. 

  • You will choose a career path that fits your goals. There are 10 options, which are:

- General Career Preparation with High School Diploma

- Retail and Customer Service with High School Diploma

- Food and Customer Service with High School Diploma

- Office Management with High School Diploma

- Certified Transportation Services with High School Diploma

- Homeland Security with High School Diploma

- Certified Transportation Services with High School Diploma

- Child Care Training with High School Diploma

- Hospitality and Leisure with High School Diploma

- Home Care Professional with High School Diploma

  • You will sign up on the Ed2Go website.

- You'll sign up for "Part 1: Prerequisite."

- You MUST finish the "Part 1: Prerequisite" courses within 2 weeks of enrolling, so be sure to plan ahead and make sure you can commit 8 to 10 hours per week to finish this course in the 2-week window.

- You should also plan on spending 8 to 10 hours per week on Part 2 of the program. 

How do I get started?

Before you get started...

Make sure you gather the information you'll need:

  • Your date of birth, email, address, phone number, and mailing address.

Be sure you have access to a computer or tablet with internet. The program will not work from a phone.

Then, follow these steps.

1. Choose the career path that best fits your goals.

  • Go to Ed2Go enrollment website at http://www.ed2go.com/mcdonalds/.

  • Want to know more about the 9 career paths available to you? Click "Learn More or Enroll Now" to find out more about each career path.

2. Enroll in Career Online High School.

  • Click on "Enroll in Part 1 Prerequisite of your chosen career path" link.

  • Click on "Continue Enrollment."

  • If you are a new student, click "Care a New Account."

- You will need to fill in your information, and your title, date of birth, contact number and address. Click "Submit."

  • Within 1 business day, you will get an email from Ed2Go confirming your enrollment. This email will also have instructions on how to request Tuition Assistance. 

  • Once you've requested Tuition Assistance, check your email for confirmation that your request was approved.

3. Take your classes and get your degree!

  • Log in to your Ed2Go account and click on "Enter my classroom" on the home page. 

  • Start by completing "Part 1: Prerequisite." Remember, you only have 2 weeks to take this course!

  • Request transcripts. When you begin "Part 2" your Academic Coach will call you and explain how to get transcripts from past schools so that you get credit for courses you already took.

  • Complete "Part 2" of the program within 18 months.
